Dating from the late 16th century, the GradeII* listed Court is a timber framed rebuild of an earlier structure which itself was partly rebuilt in the 19th century. It is thought that the plan form, the jetted construction and roof truss configuration are all inherited from the earlier medieval building.
The practice has been invovled with the house since 2006 when a full condition survey was carried out. Following on from this, the house was completely re-roofed and significant repairs carried out to the timber framing and brick infill panels. A new heating system was also introduced into the house.
As a second phase of repairs, the adjacent Grade II listed coach house was converted to a gymnasium and leisure building with planning permission and listed building consent obtained for a swimming pool in a new build extension.
