The Mount

Following refusal of Listed Building Consent and Planning Permission for construction of a proprietary conservatory to link the timber framed house to domestic outbuildings, we were commissioned to design a completely new and modern garden room extension that would fulfill their brief and receive the appropriate consents.

We designed a simple steel-framed structure with sliding glass screens to the external walls and a simple, stainless steel clad roof to ‘float’ between the house and outbuilding.  The scheme received Listed Building Consent and Planning Permission and was completed in 2010.  The garden room can open up into the garden completely or provide an uninterrupted view of it in all weathers.
